Laugfs Gas strengthen operations in the East

Laugfs Gas PLC yesterday in a bid to give fully pledge service to the Eastern Province declared open its 12th distributor point in Trincomalee.

Chief Executive Officer Mohan Perera and Group General Manager HRD Laugfs Holdings Hector Perera officiated at the opening.

“The opening of the Trincomalee distribution point is very important occasion for the company where we will be in a position to serve entire Eastern Province with uninterrupted supply and availability of LAUGFS products in the region,” Perera said at the opening ceremony.

Laugfs Gas Sales and Marketing Manager Eranga Amerakoon, Regional Sales Manager Budhika Gunawardene and Distributor Trincomalee Chandiam Hewage were also present.

Basil Rajapakse, Minister of Economic Development met Ian Karan, Senator for Economy and Trade of the City of Hamburg and Juergen Klimke, Member of Parliament yesterday at Presidential Secretariat.  The German duo are on an official visit to Sri Lanka to ascertain post-conflict progress in Sri Lanka with a view to bringing a German Trade Mission to Sri Lanka. Talks were centered on post conflict rehabilitation and reconstruction works, and improving trade and economic relations between two countries.  German Ambassador Jens Ploetner (right) is also present
