LAUGFS Oil joins DP Logistics to enhance distribution

LAUGFS Lubricants, producers of LAUGFS Oil, recently joined hands with DP Logistics, a subsidiary of David Pieris Group of

Companies, to enhance its warehousing and distribution network in the Southern Province. The main objective of this collaboration is to strengthen and streamline the existing distribution process and make LAUGFS Oil easily accessible to customers in the Southern province. LAUGFS Oil will now store and distribute its lubricant products from DPL regional warehouses with the use of DPL’s distribution services. LAUGFS Oil and DP Logistics are expected to form a strong and mutually beneficial partnership as both are local companies and operate in relatively

similar industries. This partnership will bring about a significant reduction in overall transport costs for LAUGFS Oil and allow it to focus on its core business. This will also improve the efficiency of the current distribution system and enable the company to accommodate sudden requirements of dealers. A ceremony to mark the partnership declaration and signing of the agreement was held in the presence of LAUGFS Lubricants and DPL representatives recently. DPL was represented by Director Neil Perera, Manager – Finance and Administration Vishan Fernando, Manager – Operations Dharshana Samaranayake and Asst. Manager – Operations Sajith Janaka. The representatives of LAUGFS Lubricants included LAUGFS Holdings Managing Director Thilak De Silva, Director/CEO Dr. Gamini Amarasekera, Chief Operating Officer Priyantha De Silva, Finance Manager Janith Perera, Senior Assistant Brand Manager Nileshika Wijenaike and Senior Manager – Logistics Nalaka Nanayakkara. The launch of the first phase of the project took place a few days ago at DPL regional warehouse premises located at Kamburugamuwa, Matara to cater to the requirements of the southern market. DP Logistics Director Jayantha Ratnayake and LAUGFS Lubricants Director Dr. Gamini Amarasekara participated at the event to mark the occasion along with several other company officials.
