Leema Creations winner of national bronze at CNCI

Leema Creations Ltd., the leading interior solution provider in Sri Lanka collected a National Bronze Award for Large Category at CNCI Achiever of the Year 2015. Performance of Leema Creations had been recognised by the Ceylon National Chamber of Industries three occasions in 2011, 2013 and 2014 respectively. Leema Creations Managing Director Channa Wijesekara and Director/CEO Shamika Wijesekara accepted the honour at the CNCI Ceremony held at Hotel Galadari recently. Leema Creations was recently awarded the prestigious ISO 9001:2008 certification accepting them into the organisations of the highest calibre in providing quality to their respective clients. 

Many prestigious national bodies recognise the name ‘Leema Creations’ due to the provision of highest levels of service. The name has become a synonym to quality. The recent executions of several high value commercial projects vouch for this fact. Leema, as a vibrant organisation, believes that they are the most recognised ‘single source interior solution provider in Sri Lanka’ to enhance the pervasive quality of commercial and household interiors. The purpose of the company is to provide the client direct access to a professional team of interior designers, quantity surveyors and technicians from the inception of a project. 

Leema has shown a steady growth since the inception in the year 2000 and is identified as an organisation which genuinely looks after customers’ interests. During the past year, since winning last year’s CNCI Award, machinery such as Pressure Impregnation Plant, Automatic Edge Banding Machine, Panel Saw with Sliding Table, and Wide Belt Sander were introduced to the manufacturing plant. 

The design and project teams were further strengthened to facilitate the ever increasing work volume and client demand. Areas such research and development and product quality enhancements are personally and relentlessly monitored by the Managing Director, who is one of the most experienced veterans in the industry. In order to cater the clients in keeping with the improving standards, the staff is being constantly advised to be consistent and be on alert about timely deliveries. 

The 60,000 square foot manufacturing plant of Leema Creations located at Dompe is one of the main contributing factors for winning awards. The area of operation of the plant is scheduled to be increased by further 20,000 sq. ft. by end of the year. The factory is one of the most advanced in Sri Lanka. A combination of computerised equipment and fine craftsmanship ensures exact execution of the detailed projects. Leema’s highly trained and skilled production team works with state-of-the-art equipment and a host of other standard tools.

The Managing Director, the strength behind the success, Channa Wijesekara is an incorporated civil engineer passed out from University of Moratuwa and later trained in Germany on ‘Wood Technology. He is an author, curriculum writer, trainer and an educator. Wijesekara is a distinguished past pupil of Richmond College, Galle and Nalanda College, Colombo.
