M.A. Lanka, which is the Sri Lankan arm of Malca Amit’s global network, paid a settlement of nearly Rs. 5 million to Gamage Premadasa Exports within 30 days, in a case of misdelivery by an express carrier.
Expressing his appreciation, Gamage Premadasa stated: “We were concerned about this problem and did not want to displease our new buyer so we turned to Malca Amit to resolve the problem which they did promptly. We are most appreciative of their commitment, particularly to small and medium-scale exporters in Sri Lanka. We will have no hesitation in continuing to use their services in the future.”
M.A. Lanka Director Brig. Rizvy Zacky said: “Malca Amit, as the world’s leading high-value cargo door-to-door operators for the last 35, has been servicing the Sri Lankan market for past 23 years and has provide consistent comprehensive door-to-door logistics services, complete with its own private vaults and high security transportation, with full coverage of liability to all sectors of the gem, jewellery and diamond export and import industries.
“In this case, even though the problem was not due to any lapse by Malca Amit, in keeping with our commitments we stepped in and settled this amount with our valuable customer until we resolve the cause of the problem with the carrier.”
