Mackwoods Energy at Construct 2014

Mackwoods Energy PLC showcased its Mackpower-Kirloskar diesel power generator range, electric vehicle charging points and hybrid solar power systems at Construct 2014, Sri Lanka’s premier construction exhibition organised by National Construction Association in Sri Lanka.

The Mackwoods Energy Stall was visited by President Mahinda Rajapaksa, who showed a keen interest in the renewable energy saving solutions that could be coupled to Diesel Gensets for a hybrid solution and the use of Diesel Gensets in providing DC power for rapid charging of electric vehicles. Sales Manager Mackwoods Energy Charith Mendis explained to the President and Minister of Construction, Engineering Services, Housing and Public Amenities Wimal Weerawansa, the long-term viability of utilisation of hybrid renewable energy power solutions with diesel power in the country’s quest towards energy security, saving of foreign exchange on import of fossil fuels and the initiatives undertaken by Mackwoods Energy in this sector.
