Rs. 150 m grand prize every week
Oceanic Games today announced the launch of four innovative lottery products under the Mahapola Lotto – M Super Lotto, M Lotto Plus, M Lotto, and M4D. Offering a never before seen grand prize of Rs. 150 million along with several other prizes, the four new products are set to significantly boost funding for the Mahapola Higher Education Scholarship Trust Fund.
Allowing consumers to pick six of their preferred lucky numbers between 1 and 50, M Super Lotto offers a mega prize of Rs. 150 million, the highest single prize in the history of lotteries in Sri Lanka, every Sunday.
M Lotto Plus, where consumers have to pick any five numbers between 1 and 68, offers a grand prize of Rs. 50 million every Wednesday and Saturday. With a 1st prize of Rs. 4 million offered through daily draws from Monday to Saturday, M Lotto allows consumers to pick four numbers from 1 to 68.
All draws will be telecast live on Swarnawahini. With eight hourly draws conducted at the draw auditorium every day, consumers buying M4D tickets can pick any four numbers from 0 to 9 and stand a chance to win up to 2,000 times the amount they pay for the ticket. Allowing lottery buyers to pick each of their lucky numbers individually, Mahapola Lotto allows them to choose their own destiny. The one of kind M Super Lotto, M Lotto Plus, M Lotto and M4Dlotteries offer several others giveaways besides the grand prizes.
Mahapola Lotto would be issuing all lottery tickets through tamperproof lottery machines located at its fast expanding network of dealer outlets across the island and branded lottery booths, several of which have already been deployed in key locations around Colombo. At the outlet, consumers would have to pick their lucky numbers based on the specific lottery they would like to buy by either filling out a play slip or by verbally communicating the same to the lottery seller. They would then have to pay the relevant amount to the lottery seller and collect their ticket, which they would have to retain with them till they collect any wins. Verifying the IDs of buyers both at the point of purchase and while collecting their prizes, the organisers have ensured that persons under the age of 18 do not buy the tickets.
Offering some of the biggest prizes in the history of lotteries in Sri Lanka, Mahapola Lotto intends to completely reinvigorate the Sri Lankan lottery market. Effectively leveraging technology, Oceanic Games will be offering highly transparent lottery products.
