nnaruwa, Sirisena said State officials have the responsibility of carrying the country forward. The President explained that the politicians in the Government can only prepare the policies and the mechanisms while the State officials have to actually implement the plan. “Regardless of what the Government does nothing will be effective until policies are implemented and practiced by the state officials,” Sirisena said. The President reiterated the Government’s commitment to act against corruption and enforce good governance practices in the country.
