Maxaire re-awarded prestigious ISO 9001:2008 Quality Accreditation

Maxaire Ltd., a leading Mechanical and Electrical Contractor was  re-awarded the prestigious ISO 9001:2008 accreditation by SGS Lanka Ltd. at a ceremony held recently at the Maxaire offices on Isipathana Mawatha, Colombo.

Maxaire is an ICTAD EM-01 graded contractor and holds the distinction of being the first Electrical Engineering Contractor to receive the quality accreditation in 2004 and the re-award recognises its continued commitment to quality systems which the team at Maxaire demonstrates every day on every project, both small and large.



Maxaire Chairperson, Farzana Dobbs, commenting on the award said, “We are delighted to be receiving this prestigious award.  This means a lot to our team at Maxaire for their hard work and commitment in delivering the highest quality products and service to our clients. It is also fitting that we should receive this award as we will soon celebrate our 25th year of business. Maxaire was launched by visionary engineer and businessman Yaseen Marikkar in 1987. It prides itself in having a loyal, skilled and highly committed team, dedicated to putting the clients’ requirements first.  Having started from modest beginnings, Maxaire received its first big boost when it was awarded the electrical contract job for the World Trade Centre to work with Intertec the famous Danish contractor. Maxaire has since been associated with many prestigious projects over the past 25 years. Among them, many private and public sector projects including: infrastructure, high rise buildings, apartment complexes, large hotels, hospitals, industrial facilities, garment factories and multi-purpose and commercial complexes. The company has teamed up in partnership with many well known civil contractors in Sri Lanka on several major projects. Maxaire has also implemented overseas projects in Jordan, India, Pakistan and Bangladesh.  

The emphasis on quality and extensive experience in handling projects has given Maxaire the confidence and strength to take on any task.  To facilitate this, Maxaire has set quality performance as a company culture where it is considered the personal responsibility of every employee to deliver at the highest level.
