McFoil goes green

McFoil, the Sri Lankan market leader for domestic heat insulation, was recently awarded the Green Products Certificate at an awards ceremony organised by the Ceylon Institute of Builders at the Hotel Galadari. The multinational awards ceremony was held by the Building and Construction Authority of Singapore and Admaterials Technologies Ltd. of Singapore.

In order to select the winner of the Green Mark – Gold Award, the McFoil products were carefully evaluated and their performance in many fields was considered. The assessment criteria included energy efficiency, environmental protection, quality consistency, health and safety safeguards, material quality, resource and performance; McFoil successfully surpassed all international standards.

McFoil is manufactured and distributed by Macbertan Ltd., an ISO 14001 certified company under the McLarens Group. McFoil Director/COO Cheminda Amarasinghe said: “Winning this Award is a testament to our efforts to continuously develop products and manufacture them in an environmentally friendly manner.”
