Mooloya estate set an all time record price of Rs. 740 per kg for a FBOP grade in the Uda Pussellawa category at this week’s tea auctions. This surpassed the previous record of Rs. 690 per kg established by them in October 2013.
Mooloya is owned and managed by Pussellawa Plantations PLC and has been consistently maintaining high standards of product quality. This line of tea was purchased by M/s Imperial Teas Limited and the sale was conducted by Forbes & Walker Tea Brokers Limited.
