MRF Lanka opens registered office in Sri Lanka

Mammen, lighting the lamp on the occasion of the inauguration of the MRF Lanka registered office in the Dankotuwa industrial zone   MRF Lanka’s new registered office in the Dankotuwa Industrial Area was ceremoniously inaugurated last week by MRF Chairman and Managing Director K.M. Mammen. MRF Lanka is a 100% subsidiary of MRF India was registered in Sri Lanka in June 2005 and the plant commenced its operations in August 2006 with five staff and six workers. Today in its 10th year, Lankan operations has registered a turnover of over Rs. 450 million for the year ended September 2014. This unit manufactures the entire range of re-treading products; they are sold not only in the island country, 50% of its production is exported globally. New equipment has been installed for increasing production and improving quality of the products. This has also ensured additional employment to more Sri Lankans. Speaking on the occasion, Mammen said that MRF Lanka being their first overseas operation would always have a special place and expected MRF Lanka to grow further in the coming years.
