National Awards for best in productivity

Economic Development Minister Basil Rajapaksa was the chief guest at the National Productivity Awards 2010 - 2011 held at the BMICH yesterday. The Minister gave away awards for A grade winners. Pannalgama Maha Vidyalaya in Ampara received the productivity award for school sector while Ampara General Hospital received the award for Inter Departmental category of the public sector.

Udawalawa Rural Hospital and Office of the Provincial Director of Health service – Department of Health – Southern province received the award for Public sector micro category. Award for large scale manufacturing sector went to CKT Apparel (Pvt) Ltd., Agalawatte while Heritance Kandalama , Dambulla received award for Service Sector – Large Scale. Beralapanathara Multi Purpose Cooperative Society Ltd , Urubokka received award for service sector – medium scale. Pix by Chaminda Hittatiya.
