National Chamber seminar on ‘CEPA and its implications on Sri Lanka’s economy’

The National Chamber of Commerce is concerned over the proposed signing of the CEPA (Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement) with India. The business community feels that CEPA should be analysed in greater detail on the implications involved, advantages/disadvantages and how it will affect the economy of Sri Lanka on overall basis.
In view of the above the National Chamber has organised an awareness seminar on CEPA on Wednesday 29 April from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Chamber Auditorium No 450 D.R. Wijewardene Mawatha, Colombo-10.
High level Government officials and prominent business leaders from the private sector will address the session and air their views on CEPA.
The Special Guest will be Deputy Minister of Policy Planning and Economic Affairs Dr. Harsha de Silva. Other speakers are LIRNEasia Chairman Prof. Rohan Samarajiva, Nature’s Beauty Creation Chairman Samantha Kumarasinghe, DSI Samson Group Managing Director Kulatunga Rajapaksa, Senior Economist Deshal de Mel and moderated by Senior Economist Anushka Wijesinha. Director General of Commerce R.D.S. Kumararatne will be a special invitee.
