A session on ‘Bilateral Trade between Sri Lanka and Norway’ will be held on Wednesday 20 January from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at the Chamber Auditorium No 450 D.R. Wijewardene Mw, Colombo -10.
Ambassador of Norway to Sri Lanka Thorbjourn Gaustadsaether will be the special Guest Speaker. He will be accompanied by Admin Counsellor Hans Jensrud and L. Wijenathan, Senior Advisor of the Norwegian Embassy.
In the wake of the Norwegian Foreign Minister’s visit to Sri Lanka recently, there seem to be many areas of business open for Sri Lankans. There is potential for renewable energy, solar power, fisheries sector and opportunities for investments in Sri Lanka by way of FDIs. Exports to Norway are mainly apparel, gloves etc. while imports from Norway are fertiliser, machinery mechanical appliances, etc.
At the session, members will get an opportunity to meet the Ambassador and officials of the Embassy and get information on business with Norway and other services available in Norway.
Norway is known as the ‘Land of the Midnight Sun’ a picturesque country with old world charm surrounded by mountains, glaciers, with museums and historic buildings of 10th century Viking age.
