Nature’s Beauty Creations Ltd. (NBC), the largest manufacturer of herbal cosmetics in Sri Lanka, has appointed Bimal Silva as Director/Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) as a milestone endeavour in its steady vision of creating a global brand of herbal cosmetics from Sri Lanka by 2020.
Bimal possesses 20 years of experience in the fields of marketing and general management and was the former Director/Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Hayleys Consumer Products Ltd. He started his career as a Management Trainee at Keells Food Products and subsequently joined Ceylon Biscuits Ltd. and then Hemas Consumer Brands, where he functioned as the Director Brands prior to his appointment as the Director Sales and International business. Bimal is a well-acclaimed professional in marketing and sales and has been instrumental in a number of breakthrough marketing campaigns and product launch initiatives throughout his career. He has served in the judging panels of Effie awards and SLIM Brand Excellence awards, heading the panel of judges in SLIM Brand Excellence Awards in 2014

Bimal holds a First Class Honours Degree in Statistics and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from University of Colombo. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM – UK) and also a graduate of Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA – UK). He has also been in the visiting faculty of the MBA-University of Colombo and a lecturer for CIM – UK.
He is also appointed to the boards of Multichemi International Ltd. and Lanka Bio Fertilizers Ltd., associate companies of NBC.
