Nawalakanda Tea Factory sets all-time record price

Nawalakanda Tea Factory achieved an all-time record price of Rs. 590 per kilo for a BOP1A grade, which was purchased by Empire Teas at the recently-concluded tea auctions, held at the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce on 20 August. The above line of tea was sold by John Keells PLC.
Nawalakanda Tea Factory has produced high quality orthodox teas over the past few years and achieved several awards for its quality. This tea factory is situated in the Ratnapura District’s Kahawatte region and the proprietor of this modern tea factory is Anura Peiris.
