Nawaloka Holdings, a diversified conglomerate in Sri Lanka, recently acquired the leading machinery manufacturer, importer and distributor AlcobronzLtd.
With over 40 years of experience in the woodworks, metalworks, dust management systems and aerospace industries, Alcobronz is one of the largest manufacturers and distributors of machinery in the island.
Speaking on the acquisition, Nawaloka Holdings Chairman Jayantha Dharmadasa said: “Alcobronz has established a name for itself not only as a premier machinery manufacturer but also for their superior after sales service. Through the direction and experience of Nawaloka Holdings we hope to further enhance the service offering at Alcobronz thereby providing customers islandwide with high quality products, spare parts and services.”
Under the direction of the Chairman and the expertise of Chief Executive Officer/Director Chandula Perera and Director Givanthi Dharmadasa, Alcobronz is evolving in to a multi-purpose supplier of all requirements for the engineering industry. The company also possesses staff with extensive knowledge and experience in the industry.
The company is also renowned for importing high quality branded products from industrialized nations in Europe, Taiwan and China. Furthermore, the company either imports or manufacturers equipment to customer specifications through its state-of-the-art plan in Kelaniya.
One of the key products imported by Alcobronz from China is the range of power-tools sold under the brand name PowerTek. PowerTek tools are distributed island wide through more than 300 distributors. The product range includes submersible pumps, high pressure cleaners, air compressors and accessories for both the wood and metal industries. All PowerTek equipment come with a one year manufacturer’s warranty.
Chief Executive Officer/Director Chandula Perera noted: “Our aim is to further enhance our product portfolio and our service levels. We have several new products in the pipeline and also plan to refurbish our showroom to further cater to our customers. The long-term goal is to export locally manufactured, high-quality machinery as well. We have also launched our customer friendly website for greater convenience.”
