NCE participates in Middle East natural and organic products exhibition

The National Chamber of Exporters of Sri Lanka (NCE) participated in the Middle East Natural and Organic Products Exhibition (MENOPE) during 5 to 7 December at the Dubai Exhibition and Conventional Centre Dubai, UAE.

The event was organised by the Dubai Based Global Links, a leading event and exhibition company which pioneered the exhibition.

MENOPE has gained immense recognition over the years and 2011 was the ninth edition of MENOPE which brings some of the best in class global players in the industry.

With over 100 exhibitors showcasing their unique products and services, the aim of the expo was to contribute towards facilitating a more eco-friendly environment to live in.

The Chief Guest at the opening of the event was Dr. Salem Abdul Rahman Al Darmaki – Under Secretary of the Ministry of Health of the UAE.

M. Shiham Marikar – Director Trade Promotions of NCE led a delegation of seven companies who exhibited their products in the NCE pavilion – Spa Ceylon Ayurveda (Natural and Ayurveda spa and personal care products), Gemi Teas (Organic Teas), Senarath Products Company (Organic Beverages and Coffee), EOAS Organics (PVT) LTD (Spices and Value added products), BIO Foods (PVT) LTD (Organic and Fair Trade) and Smith Foods (PVT) Ltd. (Organic coconut based products). HDDES Extracts (PVT) Ltd shared the NCE stall.

The NCE had its own nine sqm stall which was used for meetings to promote other Sri Lankan exports and events including the Sri Lankan Expo 2012.

MENOPE was an ideal platform for regional businesses to connect, strike deals and prosper.

Over the years MENOPE has been one of the industry partners instrumental in expanding the organic and natural products market of the region.

The show prides in bringing together leading global exhibitors under one roof comprising of international pavilions as well.

NCE was very happy to be a part of this show as the chamber met its objectives, as it was highly focused at the target audience, reflecting a show that was organised to the highest standards.

NCE offered a complete package to its participating members including stall rentals and construction, air fare, hotel reservations.

NCE was able to successfully negotiate special packages for the above services which highly appreciated by the participating companies.
