NCE seminar to facilitate energy efficiency

The National Chamber of Exporters of Sri Lanka (NCE) has organised a seminar in association with the Ceylon Electricity Board on the theme ‘Energy Efficiency in Industry’ on Wednesday, 31 July at the Sri Lanka Foundation from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The objective of this seminar is to facilitate energy saving and energy efficiency in enterprises and introduce ways and means to reduce the cost of energy, in the background of spiralling electricity tariffs and increasing electricity bills of industrialists and other consumers, by at least 20%. The panel of resource persons who are billed to speak at the seminar comprise the undernoted professionals from the CEB and the Sri Lanka Sustainable Energy Authority: Bandula Thilakasena – Additional General Manager (Corporate Strategy) of CEB will speak on ‘Why we should be concerned about Energy Efficiency’ M.M.R. Padmasiri – Deputy Director General (Operations) of Sri Lanka Sustainable Energy Authority on ‘Regulatory Assistance for Energy Efficiency in Industry’ Kamal Illeperuma – Chief Engineer (Regional Centre for Lighting) of CEB ‘Trends in Efficient Lighting for the Future’ Ronald Comester – Chief Engineer (Demand Side Management) of CEB will speak on ‘Energy Efficiency in Industry’ The seminar will include an open forum for participants to enable elaboration and clarification of specific issues.
