Four day zonal conference attended by delegates from over 33 countries
Nestlé Professional Sri Lanka, market leaders for out-of-home food and beverage solutions, held the inauguration ceremony for Nestlés Zone AOA (Asia, Africa, Oceania and the Middle East zone) Beverage Commercial Conference and Trade Asset Managers Workshop. The ceremony kicked off a four day workshop, with delegates from over 33 countries in attendance.
The Zone AOA Beverage Commercial Conference (BCC) and Trade Asset Managers Workshop is held annually, hosted by different AOA member countries every year. Nestlé Professional Sri Lanka is the host country for 2014, marking the first time that Nestlé has hosted a global event in Sri Lanka.
An event of great magnitude, the conference is integral in disseminating global strategic direction amongst Nestlé Professional Beverage Manager, whilst also providing a forum for the formulation of region-specific execution strategies. The BCC conference will consist of intense and highly interactive sessions covering key focus areas under Nestlé Professionals four growth pillars, and will be vital in the exchange of industry best practices. In addition to this, there will be separate workshops and training sessions for the Zonal Trade Asset Managers to update and refresh their knowledge on key processes pertaining to this field.
Head of Nestlé Professional, Jagath Wedage said: “We consider it a privilege for Nestlé Professional Sri Lanka to host the conference for 2014, as it’s an event of great significance for Nestlé Professional across the globe. Our counterparts from across the world are gathered here to share, collaborate, and actively engage in exchanging knowledge and hone their skills to further elevate standards and become the best of the best in the industry. We welcome them all with true Sri Lankan hospitality and look forward to a highly interactive and productive workshop in the coming days.”
Nestlé Lanka PLC Managing Director Ganesan Ampalavanar added: “It is our great pleasure to be the host country for this year’s Beverage Commercial Conference and Trade Asset Managers Workshop. As in previous years, the conference will prove to be of great benefit to all participating Nestlé Professional team members. We are excited to see the new innovations for food and beverage solutions we can offer our out-of-home clientele post conference.”
Beverage Head for the Zone AOA Scott Stuckman stated: “Sri Lanka is an important dynamic and growing market for Nestlé Professional in the region. As an organisation we like to showcase markets that have high potential. Nestlé Professional Sri Lanka was a natural choice to host our regional conference and we anticipate a highly engaging and enjoyable four days in Colombo.”
