Neville Peiris has been appointed as the Chairman of Ceylon Leather Products PLC.
He first joined the Ceylon Leather board on 1 July, 2013.
Peiris is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka, counting over 40 years experience in finance and management both locally and internationally, who has followed several overseas management programs in Singapore and Japan.
He functioned as the Finance Director and Company Secretary of Singer Sri Lanka from 1985 to 2001 and thereafter as a Regional Controller of the Singer Corporate management overlooking the financial and controllership functions of several Singer operations such as Jamaica, Philippines, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and the Middle East until he retired in 2006.
He currently serves as an Independent Director on the Board of Namunukula Plantations PLC, Hunter and Co PLC, Peoples Merchant Finance PLC and Lanka Canneries Ltd.
