New DG at Water Supply and Drainage Board

Eng. M.I.A. Lathiff, the Deputy General Manager of National Water Supply and Drainage Board, has been appointed as the Director General of the Department of National Community Water Supply with immediate effect.

He has worked more than five years as Deputy General Manager of the Eastern and Uva Regional support centres. Before the appointment of Deputy General Manager, he worked as the Director - Water Sector of the Ministry of Water Supply and Drainage for more than eight years. 

He is an old boy of Kalmunai Al-Azhar, Wesley High School and Colombo Royal College and the son of the former Chief Trustee of the Kalmunaikudy Muhideen Jummah Grand Mosque and the registrar of birth and death the late Mr. and Mrs. M.P.M. Ismail.
