New license for water bottling

The special committee appointed by Water supply and Drainage Board to certify the quality and standard of the companies that are engaged in bottling potable water is to submit its recommendation very soon.

A deadline will be given to the water bottle companies to obtain the new license after the Gazette notification regarding the details of the new license.

Water Board Chairman Karunasena Hettiarachchi affirmed that no sales could be done by any water bottling company without this license.
