NJ Exports was adjudged as the silver award winner in the Precious Stones and Jewellery Medium category at the 22nd Annual NCE Awards 2014, organised by the National Chamber of Exporters of Sri Lanka.

The award was received by Factory Manager J. Sasikumaran at the gala awards ceremony held recently at Hilton Colombo.
NJ Exports, a wing-company of Wellawatta Nithyakalyani Jewellery (WNJ), is a leading manufacturer and exporter of gems and Jewellery in Sri Lanka. NJ Exports was incorporated in 2009, and began operations in 2010 in order to cater to the export demand that the organisation was able to create through its holding company (WNJ) over a period of time.
NJ Exports is geared to export jewellery to major export destinations such as the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada and the United States, where a substantial amount of Sri Lankan expatriates are living. NJ Exports has since been providing personalised jewellery solutions to their customers facilitated by its use of advanced and specialised in-house manufacturing techniques.
The establishment has proved its export capabilities with its ventures in markets such as the United States, Canada, Australia, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. NJ offers designs to retailers in the export markets and produces according to the requirements of the end customers in the specific regions, in a cost effective manner.
The NCE Awards is one of the most anticipated high-profile events on the Sri Lankan business calendar and is known as the ‘Voice of the Exporters’. It recognises excellence within the local export sector and companies that make indispensable and vital contributions to sustain and expand the Sri Lankan economy.

Wellawatta Nithyakalyani Jewellery has an employee base of over 120. Beginning in 1978 with three employees, it has transformed itself into a leader in the Sri Lankan jewellery market with focus on diamond, platinum and gemstone jewellery. The company includes a fully functioning factory with over 65 technicians.
