NLDB Chairman takes dairy industry to Rotary Club

‘Dairy – Beyond Rural Boundaries’ was the theme of a presentation by the Chairman of the National Livestock & Development Board (NLDB) Ranjith Ellegala at a recent meeting of the Rotary Club of Colombo West held at the Galadari Hotel.

As guest speaker, he presented the current status of dairy production in the country and discussed the introduction of modern technology to increase milk production and future development plans. He highlighted the nutrition benefits of fresh milk and invited the business community to be “partners in progress” with the NLDB in developing the dairy industry in Sri Lanka.

The guest speaker was introduced by President-elect Jerome Rajendram and welcomed by incumbent President Kundanmal and other office bearers. A large and distinguished gathering of Rotary members representing the cream of the business community was present at the meeting.
