NOLIMIT wins big at JASTECA Taiki Akimoto 5S Competition 2013

  •  Walks away with 10 prominent awards, whilst winning the Silver award and Nagaaki Yamamoto KAIZEN award in the competition and  taking pride in being recognized as one of Sri Lanka’s leading 5S  practitioners
Sri Lanka’s biggest retail fashion chain NOLIMIT was crowned with 10 prominent awards at the recently concluded JASTECA Taiki Akimoto 5S competition 2013, including its Ratnapura branch winning the 5S competitions’ Silver Award and also becoming the Trade & Service Sector winner (Medium Category) for the second consecutive year. The competition was organised by the Japan Sri Lanka Technical and Cultural Association (JASTECA). Based on the company’s success at last year’s competition, NOLIMIT entered 19 of its showrooms for this years’ competition, all of which qualified for the preliminary audit round conducted by the Audit panel of JASTECA. While all showrooms were hailed as proven 5S practitioners, three NOLIMIT showrooms - Ratnapura, Kandy and Kegalle were amongst the selected few who competed in the final round. The final round of Audit was conducted by a panel led by the renowned Expert, Prof. Seiichi FUJITA, Ph.D of Graduate School of Commerce, Waseda Business School – Japan. During the awards, NOLIMIT Ratnapura was awarded the Silver Award in the Taiki Akimoto 5S competition and the winner of the Trade & Service sector. Merit award winners included NOLIMIT’s Kandy, Kegalle, Kurunegala, Nugegoda and Maharagama showrooms while certificates of compliance were awarded to NOLIMIT Dehiwala, Borella and Ratmalana showrooms. In recognition of its commitment towards having continuous improvement throughout the organisation NOLIMIT was recognised as the winner of the prestigious Nagaaki Yamamoto KAIZEN award which was jointly won by NOLIMIT Ratnapura, Kandy, Kegalle and GLITZ Negombo.
