Outgoing Sri Lanka Ambassador bids farewell to the UAE

The Sri Lanka Business Council (SLBC), along with the Lanka Lions in Dubai, organised a farewell party for the outgoing UAE Ambassador Sarath Wijesinghe on Sunday, 25 November 2012 at the City Seasons Hotel.



During the event, SLBC Chairman Farook Kassim conveyed his farewell speech to the Ambassador and the former President of SLBC and former President of Lanka Lions also addressed the gathering.

   The Consul General of Dubai, M.M. Abdul Raheem, also delivered a few words which was followed by a remarkable speech by Ambassador Sarath Wijesinghe.

A plaque was also handed over to the Ambassador by Farook Kassim during the event, in appreciation and recognition of his excellent service rendered to the Sri Lankan community during his term in the UAE. The Sri Lanka Business Council also received a certificate from the Ambassador as a token of their continuous support and cooperation extended to the Sri Lankan community in the UAE.
