Providing instant Sinhala translations of web content
Dialog Axiata, Sri Lanka’s ‘Internet Service Provider of the Year’ as voted by the people, together with Riscor Consultants, presents ‘Parivarthaka’ – the real time translator of English words on the web into Sinhala.
The service is available to users at no cost, and the ‘Parivarthaka’ comes enabled on all Dialog mobile broadband connections, providing easy access and function to users.
Users can access the ‘Parivarthaka’ toolbar at ‘parivarthaka.dialog.lk’ and upon application will provide the Sinhalese translation of any English word by simply placing the cursor over it. The service works on all web browsers and the majority of sites, whilst browser plugins is enabled for frequent users at the click of a button.
‘Parivarthaka’ serves as an ideal tool to bring the internet closer to all segments of society, with language no longer proving a barrier to access the wealth of information and learning on the world wide web.
