People’s Bank staff commences 2014 with Government Service Oath

The staff of People’s Bank commenced operations in the New Year, 2014 by taking the Government Service Oath. A special celebration was held on 1 January to mark this occasion under the patronage of the Chief Executive Officer/General Manager of People’s Bank, N. Vasantha Kumar at the head office premises.
A special address on the bank’s aspirations for the New Year and how to achieve the goals that have been set was delivered by People’s Bank Chairman Gamini S. Senarath at the event. The entire staff took the People’s Bank Service Oath under the patronage of the Chief Executive Officer/General Manager N. Vasantha Kumar who also addressed the gathering. This was followed by religious observances.
The event was also graced by the corporate and executive management of People’s Bank, representatives of trade unions, religious organisations, other voluntary organisations and staff members. Simultaneously, special ceremonies were organised at all People’s Bank branches and service centres island wide for staff to take the service oath.
