Plantronics hosts first annual partner event in Sri Lanka

Plantronics, one of the global leaders in audio solutions, hosted its annual partner event for dealers and distributors in the South Asian and Middle Eastern region at the Mount Lavinia Hotel recently. This marked the first time this event has been held in Sri Lanka.
The event recognised and celebrated outstanding Plantronics partners within the region from the past year.
Speaking at the event, the Vice President – Sales and Marketing – APAC and Middle East region – Susan Hansen announced the company’s plans for new products and innovations, attesting to the company motto of bringing convenience and ease to their customers. She also spoke about the company’s plans for growth and investments within Asia and around the world.
DMS Electronics (DMSE), the local partner for the audio solutions provider, was among the many companies from the region.
“We’ve worked with Plantronics for over a decade, and have attended many partner events. This year, the company decided to host their event in Sri Lanka which was a first,” said Lal Chandranath – Managing Director of DMS Electronics. “Post war, we’ve seen a boom in the tourism industry and also the corporate sector. Events like this are a great boost to our economy as it brings in much needed multinational involvement as well as enhancing our country’s image internationally.”
Plantronics is a publicly held company headquartered in Santa Cruz, California with offices in 20 countries, including major facilities in China, England, Mexico, and the Netherlands. Its products are sold and supported through a worldwide network of Plantronics partners, including resellers, systems integrators, retailers and mobile carriers.
