Pradeep Carvalho was recently appointed as Head of Corporate Communication at Etisalat Sri Lanka. He joins Etisalat after serving in the capacity of Channel Communication Manager at Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT).
Pradeep has experience not only in the highly competitive Sri Lankan Market but also in the US Market, working at Fortune 500 companies both in the IT and banking sector.
Having received his BA in Communication from Arizona State University, he worked in the US for many years. He also holds professional memberships of both the Australian Computer Society (ACS) and the British Computer Society (BCS).
Pradeep commenting on his new appointment said, “Etisalat Sri Lanka is a major telco player in the fast-paced communication technology revolution that is taking place in Sri Lanka. While we focus on offering the latest technology to our customers it is also extremely important to communicate the benefits this technology and innovation informatively and effectively, to our customers and make them understand how we can help enrich and “empower their lives,” he added. Etisalat Sri Lanka is fully-owned and operated by Emirates Telecommunication Corporation in UAE. Since commencing official operations in Sri Lanka in February 2010, the company has consistently provided not only the widest coverage, but also an unprecedented service coupled with numerous Value Added Services (VAS). The company is the first Mobile Network service provider in South Asia to offer Dual Carrier HSPA+ technology.
With this technology, Etisalat can offer the fastest Internet connectivity - capable of very fast access to mobile TV applications, video streaming and video calls. Recently, the company opened its state-of-the-art store at the arrival lounge of Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) in a bid to cater to the growing number of tourists arriving in the island.
