President opens ‘Uthuru Janani’ power station

President Mahinda Rajapaksa yesterday declared open the Chunnakam Thermal Power Plant - Uthuru Jananee in Jaffna..

 The Power Plant with 24 megawatt capacity will ensure an uninterrupted power supply to the people of Jaffna which will bring about a change in the lives of the people of the North.

Ministers Douglas Devananda, Pavithra Wanniarachchi, Rajitha Senarathna, Central Province Governor Major Gen.G.A.Chandrasiri, Deputy Minister Pemalal Jayasekera, Secretary to the President Lalith Weeratunga and Chief of President's Staff Gamini Senarath were also present at the occasion.The ‘Uthuru Janani’ power station in Jaffna was declared open by President Mahinda Rajapaksa yesterday
