Prizes every 15 minutes on Election Night for E FM fans

The 2015 local parliamentary elections were a momentous event for all Sri Lankans this year, no matter their party affiliation. Sri Lanka’s Lifestyle station E FM chose to celebrate this highly anticipated event with a very special ‘Election Night Bandstand’ show, a non-stop, seven-hour-long entertainment and elections feast that featured guest performances by top local talent including Devashrie, Keith Gibson, Kirk Jason Michael, Thalal, Voice Print, Dulani, and Janaka from Audio Squad. 

Kicking off at 10 p.m. on Election Night, Monday, 17 August and continuing on to 5 a.m. on Tuesday, 18 August, this once-in-a-lifetime election-themed radio broadcast was hosted by top E FM Radio Personalities (RPs) Mark and Gem, Dana, Damien and Diamond Deen. And, even more exciting, those sending SMSs to the show, even as late as 5 a.m., won a wide variety of sensational giveaways, every 15 minutes. 

These included vouchers from GoNuts with DoNuts and The Waffelry by Choco Luv, as well prizes ranging from DVD players to radios from wow.lk and overnight stays at the Cinnamon Bey Hotel. Also handed out, were gift vouchers worth Rs. 10,000 from Swarnamahal, Rs. 5,000 vouchers from the Sapphire Hotel, movie tickets and even cakes from the bakeries at some of Colombo’s most well loved five-star hotels.
