Public lecture on ‘How to Attract Foreign Direct Investment’ today

A public lecture titled ‘How to Attract Foreign Direct Investment’ will be delivered by International Finance Corporation (IFC) Sri Lanka Country

Manager Adam Sack today (29) at 6 p.m. at the Auditorium of the Organisation of Professional Associations of Sri Lanka, Prof. Stanley Wijesundera Mawatha, Colombo 7. Sack has been the country manager for the IFC in Sri Lanka since October 2011. He has been with IFC for 10 years, the last four of which as country manager in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore. His main focus in Indonesia was on working with private-sector partners to promote inclusive growth and reduce the impact of climate change. Prior to moving to Jakarta in 2007, Sack managed IFC’s advisory programs in the Mekong, living and working in Vietnam and Cambodia. Before IFC, he was a founding partner in a European private equity firm which invested in strong management teams to build leading positions in growth sectors. The fund continues successfully today. He started his career as an investment banker with JP Morgan. Sack has an MSc in development studies and a BA in politics, philosophy, and economics from Oxford University. The lecture is organised by the British Scholars Association of Sri Lanka. All are welcome to attend.
