Kenilworth Estate, situated in Ginigathhena, established an all time record price at the weekly tea auctions held on 30 July 2013 by securing an attractive price of Rs. 630 for a liquoring OP grade.
This price surpassed the previous record of Rs. 600 which was established by the same estate in April this year.
This line of tea was purchased by M/s Basilur Tea Exports Ltd.
Kenilworth is renowned for high quality pure orthodox teas possessing delicate liquoring characteristics.
Kenilworth Estate is managed by Watawala Plantations PLC and John Keells PLC is the tea
broker for the produce of this estate.
