All arrangements for the Sri Lanka Ceramics and Glass Symposium, organised by the Sri Lanka Ceramics and Glass Council to be held on 12 and 13 August, are now finalised.  This is the sixth time the council is organising this event.

Many experts from the Industry and related service suppliers will make presentations covering a range of topics in taking the industry to a higher level. The theme of the symposium will be ‘Powering Growth through Collaboration’.  Several suppliers from Italy, Germany, UK, Spain, India, Indonesia and China are expected to participate in this year’s symposium.

A significant feature of this symposium will be the focus on developing the red clay industry to a level of an export industry.  This is also the main focus for the industry by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce and the Sri Lanka Export Development Board, both of whom are co-partners of this event with the Sri Lanka Ceramics and Glass Council.

President Maithripala Sirisena will be the Chief Guest at the event while Minister of Industry and Commerce, Rishad Bathiudeen, will be the Guest of Honour.
