Rothschild Estate bettered its previous all-time high when an invoice of a BP1 grade realised a price of Rs. 620 per kg at the weekly Tea Auctions held on 8 March. This established a new all-time record price for BP1 grade in the Western Medium CTC category. The line of tea was purchased by Zenra Teas Ltd. Rothschild Factory is HACCP certified and situated at an elevation of 975mts above sea level in the Pussellawa planting district. The Manager of this estate is Isuru Jayaruk and the property is under the management of Pussellawa Plantations PLC.
