‘Sahasak Nimavum,’ the National Invention Exhibition organised by the Sri Lanka Inventors’ Commission (SLIC) will be held on 22, 23 and 24 of September at the Sri Lanka Exhibition and Convention Centre in Colombo for the fifth consecutive time.
The inaugural opening of the exhibition will be held on 22 September at 2 p.m. under the patronage of Minister of Science, Technology and Research Susil Premajayantha.
‘Sahasak Nimavum’ is organised with the prime objective of fostering a favourable environment within the country for inventions and providing a unique opportunity to socialise inventions with commercial potential.
Around 300 inventions under 13 fields, such as information and communication technology, traditional knowledge, electronics, import substitutes and nanotechnology will be on display at the exhibition.
The inventions, innovations presented at the exhibition were provincially evaluated by a judge panel appointed by SLIC.
The exhibition will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
