Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. recently partnered with E FM, Shakthi FM and Shree FM to host three exciting island-wide caller competitions and give away an array of free products including three Joy Plus TVs and three Samsung microwaves. The competitions took place during the morning drive time shows and listeners were able to call in and answer a range of fun questions about Samsung products. Two winners were selected from each station and a special prize giving was held for them at the Samsung Brand Shop at No. 515 Darley Road, Colombo 10, in the presence of Samsung in Sri Lanka Managing Director Youngmin Shin, the Samsung team and the marketing teams of all three stations.
Commenting on the competitions Shin stated, “In order to strengthen our brand presence in Sri Lanka, Samsung is constantly trying to create excitement around our products and offering. Engaging with our current and potential customers through fun competitions of this nature enables us to uplift our brand in Sri Lanka and delight our customers at the same time.”
K.A. Sirina from Galle, one of the winners of the Shree FM competition stated, “I was listening to the Cool Café program which I tune into every morning, and I immediately called in when I heard questions about Samsung being asked. I was lucky enough to win a free microwave and I’m thrilled because I truly appreciate the value and quality of Samsung products. I use Samsung appliances at home and I also have a Samsung phone, so it’s wonderful to bring home yet another great Samsung product.” Minfaz Himy from Modara, who won the E FM competition stated, “I love listening to Mark and Gem on E FM in the mornings and I was really happy to win a Samsung microwave. My wife is expecting and therefore this microwave will definitely make her life easier, so it’s my present to her.”
Maduja Yogeswaran from Trincomalee, who won the Shakthi FM competition stated, “I came to Colombo after many years with my sister, it was a really long trip but I wanted to come and collect this incredible prize – a Samsung Joy Plus TV. We watch a lot of Tamil music videos at home and we look forward to using the Joy Plus’ sound and video capture features to enhance our viewing experience. We will also definitely use the TV to watch cricket matches as it has a lot of interesting features and amazing picture quality.”
