Scan recognises outstanding sales performance in 2011

In recognition of excellence and standards, Scan Products, the import, manufacturing and distribution arm of C.W.Mackie Group conducted their annual sales conference for the year 2011/2012 recently. The event was primarily to recognise, reward and re-emphasise to their sales teams and staff for the kind of standards and excellence that has made Scan a household name in the local market.

The two-day event, held at the Club Palm Bay Hotel in Marawila, set the stage as a launch pad to propel the sales teams of the organisation to new and greater heights of performance. In keeping with their policy of developing effective people with excellent skills to produce quality products the event was structured to incorporate training and motivational activities for its participants. The event began with a motivational training session conducted by Dr.Naomal Balasooriya, one of the most diversely qualified and experienced corporate trainers in Sri Lanka.

The conference also served as the launch pad for Scan Products new business theme for 2011-2012 which is to achieve sustainable growth through determination, commitment and discipline to raise Scan products to the next level, and give the sales teams a new target for themselves. The Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Scan Products Mangala Perera also laid down their Annual Operational Plan for 2011-2012 in his address.

Perera stated, “We, at Scan Products have always taken great pride in being a competitive force that contributes to the local market and our greatest asset has always and will always be our dedicated sales team and management who have performed and surpassed our expectations again and again with new, innovative and effective policies. It is for this reason that events like this are pivotal for the development, recognition and reinforcement of our sales teams to urge them to maintain their excellent work and offer the same service that has brought Scan Products, and C.W.Mackie to where it is today.”

W.T. Ellawala Chairman of C.W. Mackie PLC stated, “The performance of the Scan Product over the last year has been truly phenomenal and I know it can only be attributed to the committed sales teams, managers and employees who are here today. The development of the organisations turnover in terms of sales and profitability is astounding in this aspect.”

The recipients of the awards on the “Scan Star” night were: Second Runner Up - Thayanandan from the Northern Province; First Runner Up - Indika Wasantha from the North Central Province and the winner for Best Performance in Sales was Chamila Priyadarshana from the Northwestern Province.
