Schneider Electric’s customer meet concludes in Colombo

Schneider Electric, a global leader in energy management, announced the successful completion of its two days customer meet in Srilanka. 

The objective of the event was to connect with CIOs, CTOs, IT managers and facility managers of top companies in manufacturing, telecom, IT and BFSI verticals in Srilanka and showcase Schneider Electric’s strength in technology and solutions to embrace the much-needed modernisation wave in the businesses of today.

Pradeep Saikia, Country President – Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Maldives at Schneider Electric presented an overview about Schneider Electric organisation and its Sri Lanka operations.

Nikhil Pathak, Vice President and Country General Manager – IT Business India and SAARC at Schneider Electric India, was also present at the events and spoke about “Internet of things” (IoT) concept and how Schneider Electric is helping its customers in the efficient deployment of IoT.

Schneider Electric demonstrated the need of an integrated and scalable physical IT infrastructure to ensure business continuity. Schneider Electric’s InfraStruxure solutions offers everything for an IT physical infrastructure deployment including backup power, power distribution, cooling, enclosures and management software. Adaptable solutions scale from smallest IT spaces to multi-megawatt data centers to industries

Day 1 (13 August) focused primarily on the manufacturing vertical where Schneider Electric demonstrated its energy efficient solutions for server rooms, network rooms and small to medium data centers.

Day 2 (14 August) of the event was focused on how demand for data center is growing and what Schneider Electric as a leader can offer. Schneider Electric with its holistic solution – a key towards the growth of data center investment with capabilities to manage the entire infrastructure for an organisation with modular, scalable power and cooling infrastructure. 

Schneider Electric showcased its latest product Galaxy VM – a 3 phase UPS with ECOnversion technology. Galaxy VM ranges of UPS are up to 99% efficient and are easy to deploy with seamless integration into the electrical, physical and monitoring environments of customers operating medium data centers, industrial or facilities applications.

Manoji S. Samararatne, General Manager – IT Business, Sri Lanka and Maldives concluded the sessions and assured Schneider Electric’s commitment towards Sri Lanka’s growth story. Schneider Electric Lanka is fully equipped to serve its customers across business verticals with its products, solutions and people resource. The company has a strong team of sales and service people based out of Colombo head office which is dedicated to Sri Lankan market.
