The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with the Department of Police will hold a seminar under the title ‘Minimising the risks to your business by deciding on proper security measures’.
The move by the Chamber and the police comes, following the spate of crimes which took place in the recent times, targeting business firms such as, banks and financial institutions.
The seminar, which is scheduled to be held on 25 April 2014 at 3 p.m., at the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce auditorium, will be chaired by the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Ajith Wickremasekara.
The top police official, during his presentation will outline the security measures, the companies should take to protect their businesses from burglary, theft, embezzlement and other crimes.
Whilst you will never be completely free from the effects of crimes against your business, there are decisions that you can make that can lessen the likelihood and impact of crime on your business.
Running a business means you learn to expect the unexpected. However, when events that are totally out of the ordinary course of business occur and when you don’t have a contingency plan in place to face them, the resulting damage to your business can be catastrophic.
The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce invites the business community to take maximum use of this opportunity to enhance the security of your business and also interact with the higher official from the police department in gaining further knowledge to minimise security concerns at your establishments.
