Seminar on ‘Exchange Control Regulations, New Policy Measures’

A Seminar on ‘Exchange Control Regulations’ has been organised by the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka, to explain the new policy measures and practical aspects of exchange control regulations currently in force.

The seminar/workshop will be held on Thursday, 30 May 2013, from 2:45 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. at the National Chamber Auditorium No. 450 D.R. Wijewardene Mawatha Colombo 10. Exchange Senior Asst. Controller Vipula Wickramaratchchi and Central Bank Exchange Senior Asst. Controller Pavithri Vithanage will make the presentations.

Areas that would be covered at the seminar will be basic exchange control related concepts; migration allowances; foreign currency accounts for residents; rupee accounts for non-residents; how to receive foreign investments into Sri Lanka; investment opportunities available for foreigners; securities investment account (SIA); procedures to follow in making overseas investments.

There will also be a panel discussion with a question and answer session where the participants will be able to get first hand information from the resource persons. The session will be beneficial to business owners, senior managers, financial controllers, exporters/importers, CFOs and decision makers.
