Seminar on practical aspects of IFRS

 Merchant Bank of Sri Lanka PLC (MBSL) is organising a seminar on “Practical aspects of implementing International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)” on 1 December at 5.00 p.m. to 7.00 p.m. at Salon Anthurium, Galadari Hotel.

The speaker to the event is Partner – PricewaterhouseCoopers and President of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka Sujeewa Mudalige.

The following areas will be covered by the speaker: Are you ready to implement IFRS? Will IFRS be compulsory from 2012? What is the basic framework of IFRS and which transactions will be impacted due to IFRS?

By gaining an overall understanding about the implementation of IFRS and Sri Lanka Financial Reporting Standards (SLFRS) will enable many of us to reduce complexity that arises and avoid duplication of efforts in the implementation process.
