The Import Section of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce and the Supply and Materials Management Institute will hold a seminar titled ‘Creating Competitive advantage through Supply Chain Management’.
The upcoming seminar is targeted at inventory, procurement, warehouse and shipping managers and supervisors and other administrators responsible for the overall supply chain management optimisation, etc.
The seminar to be held on 9 October at the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce will cover topics such as, ‘Supply Chain Drivers of performance’; ‘Supply Chain as a Strategic Enabler’, and ‘Supply Chain Alignment to Company Strategy’.
Managing supply chain risks by identifying and analysing risks, new trends in risks and how to respond to risks will also come under discussion at the half a day seminar, which will also award a certificate for the participants.
Supply chain management is the process of strategically managing the upstream and downstream flows of material, funds and information within the collaboration partners or the network of suppliers.
