Serendib Engineering Group Plc has promoted Chief Financial Officer Naleen De Silva as the new Chief Executive Officer.
He succeeds Clive De Silva who retired in March this year.
Naleen was the Group CFO since 2012 and is the Group CFO of Navara Capital Group of Companies, the major shareholder of 
Serendib Engineering with a 76% stake.
He counts for over 23 years of experience in various industries including Housing and Property Development, Engineering, Manufacturing, Financial services and Media. He also specializes in management consultancy, restructuring and auditing.
Naleen is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka and the Institute of Certified Management Accountants of Sri Lanka. He holds a MBA from the PIM, University of Sri Jayewardenepura. He is also a member of the Governing Council of AAT Sri Lanka.
He is also a Director of Serendib Engineering & Agencies Ltd., CCC Plantation Engineering Ltd., Navara Capital Partners Ltd., Navara Securities Ltd., Navara Forex & Money Brokers Ltd., and Alerics Dairy Products Ltd.
