Singer partners Artmatrix

Artmatrix Techn-ology, a Malaysia-based solution provider for the design, manufacture and supply of ergonomic seating, and open plan system office furniture, entered into an agreement with Singer Sri Lanka.



The agreement allows Singer to exclusively distribute Artmatrix’s full range of products in Sri Lanka.

 Initially Singer plans to market Artmatrix Furniture through its Corporate Sales Division, Singer Homes and Singer Mega and also at selected Singer Plus retail stores.

Speaking on the occasion, Artmatrix Technology Vice President Sales Francis Lau said: “Since our incorporation in 2005, Artmatrix has experienced steady growth thanks to strong demand both in Malaysia and globally. Buoyed by this success, we opened our first overseas branch in Dubai in 2007 and subsequently opened showrooms in India, Singapore, Jakarta, Oman and Mauritius. Singer Sri Lanka’s reputation for providing retail excellence is well known. We are therefore very confident that our world-class office furniture products will be embraced by the Sri Lankan market.”

Singer Sri Lanka Marketing Director Nasser Majeed said: “Singer Sri Lanka has a well-earned reputation for multi-brand retail excellence. Our wide branch network of Singer Plus, Singer Homes and Singer Mega retail channels has allowed us to introduce world-class products to the Sri Lankan consumer ensuring strong growth in top line revenue. Artmatrix is yet another category targeting the business sector both small and large.”

Artmatrix Technology’s product range includes seating and workstation solutions for the modern corporate.

The company was recently certified with ISO 9001: 2008 and l5O 14001: 2004 and serves as a testament to a product development cycle that embraces continuous improvement at every step. In addition, Artmatrix was the first Malaysian office furniture manufacturer to be awarded the Environmental Choice Australia (ECA) eco label, assessed and verified by Good Environmental Choice Australia (GECA).

“These products embody Singer Sri Lanka’s brand promise of trusted excellence. In addition to its ISO certifications, Artmatrix products have also earned accreditations from the American National Standards institute (ANSI) and the Business and institutional Furniture Manufacturer’s Association (BIFMA),” Majeed continued. With this tie up Singer also plans to utilise its furniture factory facility based in Piliyandala to turn out some of the product range under license from Artmatrix.
