After a very successful inaugural Lifestyle Fiesta and Trade Exhibition that saw total sales revenue of over Rs. 100 million and over 40,000 visitors, Singer Sri Lanka announced that they will hold the second exhibition of its kind with the assistance of Aitken Spence Conventions and Exhibitions at the BMICH from 16 to 18 November between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m.

It is the first time a single company, rather than a sector, has set up an exhibition on a major scale, stated Singer Group of Companies CEO Asoka Pieris. At a media briefing, Singer Sri Lanka Marketing Director Nasser Majeed said, “We at Singer have the capability to organise such an event.” He added that they are hoping to attract around 40,000 to 50,000 visitors this year during the three-day exhibition.

Explaining the objectives of hosting an exhibition of this sort, Singer Sri Lanka Sales Director Kumara Samarasinghe said: “This exhibition was a new experience for the Sri Lankan consumers and due to its success, we have decided to have the Lifestyle Fiesta Exhibition and Fun Fair this year. This year, the lifestyle exhibition will display all the brands and products that we market at Singer.”

“The demand for high quality brands and products with new technology at our first lifestyle fair in 2011 was so great that consumers are looking forward to the second edition. This year we have added several new brands and product categories,” revealed Majeed.

They currently have over 35 prominent brands such as Whirlpool, Korea’s number one appliances brand, Samsung, the world’s number one electronics brand and Hitachi, Japan’s number one electronics brand.

The exhibition will showcase a wide range of products from electronics to kitchen appliances, agro-products to their latest addition – mobile phones and cameras. Samarasinghe also stated that a variety of consumer goods and services will be displayed and sold at the fun fair. These stalls will feature garments, banks, broadband, solar systems, books and magazines, fashion accessories and toys.

Amongst all this, Singer Sri Lanka will also give consumers an opportunity to check out the latest products in the country and they are set to offer the best deals on all their new products, where some products will have discounts upto 50%.

In addition, the exhibition will feature a variety of entertainment items for kids and adults. The exhibition will be Wi-Fi enabled and there will be an exciting game zone for video game lovers. Samarasinghe mentioned that Singer Sri Lanka will have culinary demonstrations, fashions shows and musical shows, featuring the country’s popular artistes every evening.
