SLIC Director Kudabalage appointed to Dockyard Board

Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation (SLIC) Executive Director Piyadasa Kudabalage has been appointed to the Board of Colombo Dockyard Plc.

The appointment is in recognition of 10% ownership of Dockyard by SLIC. The Dockyard Board has formally accepted the SLIC nomination.

Kudabalage is a Chartered Accountant by profession and is the senior partner of P. Kudabalage and Company. He is also the Managing Director and CEO of Litro Gas Lanka Ltd., and Litro Gas Terminal Lanka Ltd. He is also the Chairman of eChanneling Plc and serves on the Board of Seylan Bank Plc, Ceylon Asset Management Co Ltd., Sri Lanka Insurance Resort and Spa and Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation Ltd (Maldives).

He has over 26 years experience in the mercantile sector and had several senior positions in Kahawatte Plantations, Janatha Estate Development Board, Jay Cey Group of Companies and a directorate in Malwatte Valley Plantation Ltd.

Kudabalage holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) Degree from the University of Kelaniya and is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka, the Institute of Certified Management Accountants of Sri Lanka and the Institute of Certified Professional Managers.
