SLID presents Cornell University Professor on ‘Strategy Transformation at Board Level’

Dr. Phil Young, a finance and strategy expert and a Professor at Cornell, University of California, Columbia one of the world’s most prestigious business schools, will address the director community on developing strategy, business and financial acumen throughout the organisation at a Power Evening on 16 September organised by the Sri Lanka Institute of Directors.    Dr. Young, a Consultant to the CEOs of Fortune 100 companies, specialising in custom executive education in strategy, finance and business acumen  brings work experience at IBM, Google, Microsoft, Citibank, American Express, HSBC, Emirates Bank, MasterCard International, GE, ABB, Colgate, Reckitts, Siemens, Dow Chemical, AT&T, Verizon, BT, and Ericsson in the financial, manufacturing and technical sectors. He is also a Professor in Thunderbird and in the top business schools in China and Europe. His book on Managerial Economics ‘Economic Tools for today’s Decision Makers’ (Pearson 2013, 7th edition) a major text in Ivy league and leading business schools has been translated into Russian, Chinese, and Spanish. He also has a Ph.D. in economics from the New York University. “Strategy Transformation at Board Level” will address a target audience of directors, CEOs, senior managers, and group and functional head with P&L responsibilities.
